Lets take a giant step in time to the 16th Century
in despite of all the anger this town is very neat
A pathway leads to the Southern End with the Village to the West
and the citizens are moaning and they sure do their best
They blame their parents and the past for what they are today
but the past can not be changed so they are doomed to stay that way
This is the time this is the place and this … is the catch

We will offer ourselves to every pain

One night I got entangled in a mystery beyond compare
The cartoons in my comic book behaved as if I wasn’t there
Gandalf swung his magic wand, locked the door and turned the key

Every toon around the room gathered celebratingly
As they shook their hands and knees they sang out in a quiet tune
Lets go party party party all night
We know we’re not allowed to party when its light
Merlin metamorphosed all my items to another day
Santa Claus would pick ’em up and start to give it all away
Spiderman and He-man talked to Batman bout their greatest fights
Superman and Dracula would lay down in a crypt to night
Paralysed and mesmerized I could not believe my eyes
Had to light the candle light, came in handy with extended sight
Lets go party …
Celestial tunes in high pitched voices
All of the ink have dissolved into one
Within my room are all these noises
Who will believe me at the crack of dawn

I like the way they move around
I know I´ll never be able to see them in the broad daylight
I don’t know whether I’m lost or found
Its just the only way I can get pleased or satisfied
One thing I’m a certain when they drag down their curtains
their shadows and my imagination entwines
I don’t want to be a burden it just gives me some peace of mind
cause I know what I like
I’m a midnight sneaker and I like to sneak around
One night when I had just arrived
I saw a shadow at the window that belongs to me
I saw this other watching guy
and in his face I saw he really got pleased and satisfied
One thing we’re a certain when they drag down their curtains
their shadows and our imagination entwines
We don’t want to be no burden it just gives us some peace of mind
cause we know what we like
We are midnight sneakers and we like to sneak around
Long time ago I last got laid
the women I know just pulls away or say they have to go
They walk away if they’re not paid
Perhaps I better help myself with steaks and leather rope

But still we drag the darkness down all over our heads

it just seems so unreal that the excitement love contains
that’s what we kill
Don’t you ever lose your nerve turn on the light and then observe how love can shine
I think its wrong to hide your love there’re things that you know nothing of you’ll never find

that the world that we’ve created have been brought down oh so low again
we must sacrifice our needs
If you can see the light if you can feel the heat
If you can hear the sound when the world fades incomplete
Time is a healer of wounds
Except the ones from the bombs that fall
It can happen to you very soon
and your body will cover it all
Mother nature will arise one day and end up all her deadly wounds
’cause she cannot believe
that technology have gone so far and reduced her to second priority
but who do we deceive
If we don’t supervise if we don’t rearrange
then two people in paradise will have to recommence

Never Can Tell revolves around composer & songwriter John Kanding(bass). In the late 80's and early 90's Never Can Tell was
an actual group, playing his compositions.
Over 30 years later John started the project anew and recorded the album "Sorry I'm late!" together with producer Nicklas Sonne. The album contains 10 songs from the past and includes some of the old musicians as guest artists.
